When Beate and I first opened the doors of Woman Made Gallery in 1992, the space was a 20′ storefront right next to the Rockwell el stop. The Gallery has moved four times over the last 25 years and I couldn’t be more excited to invite you all to our first opening in our new space at Lacuna Lofts.
Did I mention free parking?
Lacuna Lofts is a repurposed industrial space that is home to other galleries, artists’ spaces, a restaurant, and a variety of small businesses. We hope this new space will introduce Woman Made Gallery to a new audience and we hope our existing fans and supporters will join us here for exhibitions and events for years to come.
There is ample street parking as well as a parking lot to make your visit even more enjoyable. Enter the building through the north entrance off the parking lot. At the opening on Friday night we’ll have Board members and volunteers to direct you to the elevator to our gallery on the fourth floor.
Now more than ever, it’s important to support the arts – and especially women in the arts. I look forward to seeing you!
