DESCRIPTION:No scissors necessary\, this workshop invites you to consider and create using the art of the ripped and frayed edge. Using our hands to layer textures and uneven lines\, we collaboratively create collages that rely on the feel and flow versus a traditional image or subject. Taught by Bridgette Bramlage\, this workshop will begin with a group exercise\, followed by a self-guided one. She is self-taught and creates her own independent art practice within the Chicago DIY artist community. Collage is a self-guided exploration of new patterns\, challenges and storytelling. Her method is best described as precise cuts and deliberate layering to obscure boundariesin order to create abstract and figural narratives.
