A life-long artist, self-taught artist Kristen Neveu paints to clear her head and calm anxiety.
Her mixed media paintings combine acrylic, watercolor, oil pastel, pencil and paper. Americana, nostalgia, and tributes to nature are threaded into the work, creating patterned abstract
storybooks reminiscent of maps and the flow of musical patterns.
Also skilled in photography, Kristen’s work experience includes Getty Images, Wire Images, Warner Bros. and educational publishing. She paints most evenings and weekends as an outlet from her day-to-day
Neveu was born in West Point, NY, while her dad was in the U.S. Army’s Military Academy band. She was raised in Indiana and Iowa. She graduated from The University of Iowa with degrees in Communication
Studies and Cultural Anthropology. Since college, she’s lived in Minneapolis, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Evanston.
