My art practice comprises of performances, sculptures, and site-specific installations. The forms and gestures of my work reflect the direct and indirect experiences of immigration trauma, recollective memories, and story-telling. The repetitive gesture in my projects highlights the complexities of co-existing in the discourses of personhood through the contemporary immigration experience. My work is a redefined form of visual manifestations as certain objects I create are borrowed from tradition, past, and present based on geographical and cultural methods. The visual manifestations consist of a disparate, yet familiar integration that is recognizable and accessible to the immigration-class.
