Jennifer Kling is a Chicago-based interdisciplinary disciplinary artist who addresses nature (including human nature), women’s issues, and spirituality through abstracted imagery in her 2d and 3d work. Her current practice revolves around the themes of acceptance and resilience. It is both inwardly and outwardly directed, spiritual and sensual. Texture, light, color and implied motion invoke the viewer’s senses and begin a dialogue about corporality and transcendence. Her work silently speaks of harsh realities and tenderly re-frames them. Constructing imagery, she rebuilds herself and seeks to create a world which is becoming unshakably strong.
