My painting is primarily about deconstructing painting elements and rearranging them. In so far as my piece has same elements as a traditional painting does, they’re not fundamentally different, but the work of mine has a new and unfamiliar look. It lets my piece go beyond the limited category, thus have a painting, sculptural and textile aspects altogether.
A distinctive feature of the way I paint is pushing an acrylic paint tube. Paint can be directly applied to a surface without any aggressive editing, which enables each sculptural chunk of paint to have an implicative story.
