I’ll Be Waiting, For You (2013)
performance, digital video

We realize now that we were always vulnerable; for many years, we (some more than others) have had to reach into the void, across digital space, to touch and be touched. My work seeks to translate what happens in the 6-8 cubic inches of air that hover immediately outside of our skin and what brims just below. I am interested in skin as a boundary for feelings, and how the stories that live there are impacted by and translated via screens. I paint video poetry, providing immaterial [a]musings on inhabiting a body. “Longing is to loss as fandom is to heartache as addiction is to recovery; the best stories are mostly a jumble of conflicting feelings.”
