I am a studio and public artist, and arts educator. I create paintings, installations, and mosaic public artwork. My current cut-paper work uses the language of negative and positive space to explore themes of absence and presence in our fragile and threatened ecosystems. I cut away to reveal what is in danger of being lost on an intimate and global scale. I want to make work that repairs, reassembles, and re‐imagines. For me, it is in the space between things where the most generative ideas reside. I am interested in processes that invite new constructions of meaning through dialogue, community, and attentiveness to the natural world.
