The Benefit Auction on April 29th at Catalyst Ranch was a huge success. Thanks to WMG Board Members and Auction Chairs Amy Stoeffler and Margo Jeanchild for helping to organize the event, and thanks to Ann Regan who streamlined procedures. It helped to make things run smoothly and all our guests were happy.
We appreciate all those who purchased ads in our auction brochure and thank Mo Cahill for the tremendous job getting most of the ads and for her help in design and printing support.Thank you to all volunteers and especially Deb Flagel, Barb Grzybowski, Marty Bash, Caren Rudman, Ellen Rodman and Mary O'Connell. Their work and input helped in a variety of important areas. We are grateful for all sponsorships and monetary donations and we thank each of our guests for their attendance and for bidding on the many wonderful items.
We are thankful to each person who bought raffle tickets and we are happy to announce the winners here: Mary Symington from Western Springs, Illinois, won the first prize of $1000; the second prize, a TiVo donated by Wilma Stevens, went to Susan Suntay from Chicago; and the third prize, a chocolate and wine basket donated by August Hill Winery, was won by Bill Litvian.
We are so very grateful to all those who donated artwork, items, services and/or gift certificates. We were able to raise $55,000 from sponsorships, adbook and raffle ticket sales, admissions, and live and silent auction income, with $10,500 for the live auction items alone.
