I am a London-based artist interested in working in the space where fine art and craft co-exist and with a particular bias for textiles, costume, performance, sculpture and installation. My practice is focused on making and centers around themes related to the subversive use of stitch combined with the performative nature of clothing, particularly in constructing and articulating power relations, gender and sexuality. My works speak of all not being what it seems, of the need to look closer to see the truth of a thing, and of the personal within objects. My most recent body of work explores costume iconography. |
