, a dazzling, state-of-the-art glass art workshop, education facility, and event space located at 401 N. Armour Street in Chicago. Throughout the evening, Gala guests can bid on an array of contemporary artworks in a silent auction, participate in a three-prize raffle, and enjoy music, an open wine and champagne bar, delicious appetizers and delectable sweets.
More than 7,500 women artists have exhibited at Woman Made Gallery since its founding in 1992. Through our exhibitions, public programs, and community outreach efforts, we have consistently provided a vehicle to achieve artistic and economic equality for women in the arts. This year’s Gala theme, “New Visions,” celebrates the start of the next chapter in WMG’s proud history, led by new Executive Director Claudine Isé, who joined the organization in January 2015.
Woman Made Gallery is one of only a handful of nonprofit art spaces in the U.S. and the world devoted to cultivating and promoting the work of female artists. Our annual Gala not only provides an opportunity for us to celebrate WMG’s work and mission with the entire Chicago community, it plays a key role in our annual fundraising efforts, enabling us to continue to produce the high-quality exhibitions and thought-provoking public programs for which our organization is renowned.
